The Session Guide

  • Grey Horse, Sunset Photoshoot

    Before

When you initially book in for your portrait session, we will discuss the type of photos you are wanting. Think the different styles, colours and where the wall art will be going, for example. This will help determine the best time of day as well as weather conditions to ensure we capture what you want.

We can also discuss your pet(s) - their personality, tricks they can do, or any behaviours that may need to be considered.

  • BTS of woodland photoshoot including photographer

    During

The shoot will last anywhere between 60 and 120 minutes, depending on how your pet is during the session.

During the shoot I will be explaining what I’m doing, what I’m looking for and how to get the best out of our pet. This will include directing where I need them to be and getting them to look in certain directions. There may be some funny sounds being made during this part to get their attention!

I will also be ensuring your pets comfort and well being is prioritised. If they are uncomfortable doing something then we move on and try something else.

    After

Once the shoot is over I will go back to my computer and look through the photos taken, selecting only the best to be shown to you in your initial viewing gallery.

Once these have been selected I will go ahead and fully edit one photo as a preview as well doing the base edits on the remaining photos.

This gallery will then be provided to you to choose the photos you want to be fully edited based on the package you have selected at the time of booking.

Once I have this selection, I will go ahead and fully edit these photos. From then you will receive an updated gallery showcasing your final artwork where we can then decide what you want printed or saved as digital files.
